    Marty,

I saw the pegboards installed and also that they were missing in the back of the track. Do we need to buy more or you left it like that so we can go under the track?
I can go to Kings during the week and help paint the surface, just let me know.

We also need to have the flyers finished, the t-shirts ordered and to contact the media/newspapers about the opening ASAP.

Here is what I remember that needs to be done; please add whatever is missing.

    1- Need to trim the terrain around turn T5, T6, T7, T8.
    2- Paint terrain surface.
    3- Apply grass.
    4- Finish pond.
5 – Additional landscaping (Marty and Brian need to itemize it).
6- Fabricate door and back for power supply cabinet.
7 – Paint the pegboard and track sides.
8- Cover the electric socket and cover the extension cords going to the track
9A – Confirm with Kings the discount rates discussed on Aug 21 — needed to finish the flyer
9- Finish flyer and distribute it
    10- Order T-shirts
11- Create Banner with 2010 design for back wall
    12 – Artwork/posters for back wall
13- Track rules need to be created and printed on a poster for the back wall
14- Contact media about the opening
15- See that the walls are installed
16- See that the back room is cleaned
17- See that the store has merchandise
18- TV needs to be fastened
19- Store clerks need to be trained
20- Track computer needs to be setup for remote access
21 – Speakers need to be installed (Y splitter for earphones needed)
    22- Track turn names
    23- Website layout + content
    24- Bank account
    25- Open a club with the city/state?

HUHU !!! I like the Margarita curve, it is definitely easier to pronounce than Eau Rouge.

All right!! We have 4(3) down:
    T6/T7 = Sunset Bend
    T4 = Casino
    T3 = Senna S

    And 4 to go:

T2 is sort of smooth and reminds me of something fat, here are a few names for it:
Peraltada (probably the most fitting – check the Mexican: Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez)
    Redonda,
    La Gorda,
    Baleia or Ballena

    T5 is Treacherous:
Eau Rouge (That used to be one of the trickiest curves in F1, and ours has a very similar shape)

T1 and T8 are the hardest ones for me. The shape of T8 reminds me of Dunlop Curve in LeMans.

Just read that VMG went of business a while ago .. that would explain the lack of a website.

Here are the F1 models they manufactured:
    https://www.slot32.de/wbc.php?sid=15325572e586&q=vanquish&x=0&y=0&tpl=suche.html&page=3
I would buy all of them, really nice.

I also found that the store with the most VMG products is this one:
    https://www.slotbazar.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=vanquish&sort=1a&&page=1

I will put both cars in the track this Saturday. The Lotus has been in storage for 15 years, I changed the brushes and the gear but I don’t know how it will run, it also needs fresh tires.
The diff on the vanquish seems to be fixed but it works beautifully — just like the real deal — I’m just not sure about how durable it is.

Changing the subject a little: What is Vanquish MG website? I’m looking around for their products and I can see that they manufacture some really nice 70’s F1 models .. but no official website?!

I guess we could do almost everything you suggested. The unveiling should be done in the afternoon (2pm?), after that we can have a small track presentation, talk about the club and later we would open the track for kids. I would prefer to have a “line” for the kids, every 3 would race for 5 min and go to the end of the line; we will have to be there babysitting them and the track till close time, that is why I would only open the track for kids after we have all the business end done. Food and drinks are tricky, I would not want to see any on the track, we need to think about something suitable. The shirt should be done by that date — we need to get that resolved really soon. A nice raffle would be car+controller+shirt+rental for first prize, shirt + rental time for 2nd and rental for 3rd (all inclusive rental).

    T3 – Senna S
    T4 – Casino
    T8 – Slingshot
    T1- Cemetery
    T2 – Redonda
    T5 – The Moon

So I was super fast coming out of the slingshot but I ended up crashing on the cemetery … lol

I checked the track today in the morning and it was fine. I was worried because my office (unattached from my house) had about 3 inches of water inside of it around 10pm, I managed to remove all the water by 12:30 but this morning the water had made its way back inside. 😥 Got it all cleaned again and it doesn’t look so bad.

The Ninco’s 1/28 are pretty but that’s about it.
