Here is a track I made for my son in the Eighties. I used Tyco track on 1/2″ plywood and hinged it on the wall above his bed. On the bottom of the plywood I glued 1/4″ cork, so when folded against the wall it was a bulletin board. The track is trimmed with wood outside corner mold, with a gap into which could be inserted some sheet plastic fencing, not shown in the photo. I did go to the extreme measure of making a hole in the wall to accommodate the lap counter. I still have this track, as well as a four-lane track from 1969, mounted on a sheet of plywood. I no longer have any of my original cars, but I do have a couple hundred cars I collected in the Eighties.
Russ, looks very cool, a nice challenging course. There are many reasons to love HO!
