Our club held both races 5 and 6 of the 2011 Modern F1 Series on the same day. Only four racers showed up for the first race and only three raced the last round.
As usual there were quite a lot of deslots and F1 car noses flying around the track. Ary took first place on the 5th round, followed by Shawn, Jim and Brian. Brian found out before the round that his Brawn’s rear wheels were out of center, without an available replacement, he had to race the car as it was.
At his point the overall classification was the following:
Round 6: Ary decided not to race, handing his Ferrari to Brian.
Shawn took first place and fastest lap, which in turn took the overall first place by one point — good job Shawn. Brian got used to the new car within minutes and placed second, 6 laps ahead of Jim.
