Round 4 of the 3rd Quarter Slot.it Challenge Results

August 20th 2011, second race of the day and the fourth round of Slot.it Challenge.

As Marty had to leave early, only five competitors participated on the race. Racing on our track works best with three corner marshals, this time we had to do it with two and a track call button.

Maybe it is just my impression, but it seems that the one extra volt added for this quarter makes the cars a little harder to control on the slowest sectors of the track. The Senna “Esses”saw quite a few deslots.

Shawn’s car was the fastest, setting a 3.936 seconds lap; later on he seemed to have tire problems and withdrew on his last heat. The yellow lane saw the fewest lap counts, both Brian and Jim had trouble. Although Jim’s had a rough first round, he picked up the pace on his remaining heats guaranteeing 3rd place.  Roy performed incredibly well with the Lancia and scored his best result on this series, 2nd place — Congratulations.

Until round #5.
