The first race of 2025 brought out 7 racers (who wondered why we were not running our Group C cars as tradition mandated.) The significant difference in this January race is that nearly everyone seemed to be short of a fully prepared effort. The cold weather was a factor for tires, but at least three different tires were used with unsatisfactory results, The rubber marbles in the turns disrupted traction and stuck to the tires for laps on end. I am certain race 2 will have the cars running better, but it might come down to selecting tires that do not leave or pick up rubber pebbles.
