Points are awarded for most overall laps completed during a race weekend. The driver with the most laps will be awarded 1st place points, the person with the second most laps will be awarded the 2nd place points and so on.
Points from a participants five best races count towards their total.
Ties will be settled by most laps raced
Secondary ties are settled by which driver had the most fast laps during the series.
Points are awarded as follows:
1st 10 points
2nd 8 points
3rd 6 points
4th 5 points
5th 4 points
6th 3 points
7th 2 points
8th 1 point
Fastest lap for the race will receive 1 point
Here is the question:
Quoting this “Points from a participants five best races count towards their total”and this, “Ties will be settled by most laps raced”. In my case: my worst total laps was on round 3 when I placed 2nd and had the best lap, with 9 points and 205 laps. My worst placement was on round 5 when I took 3rd with 6 points and 214 laps.
If I had to drop a result for points total I would drop round 5. On a tie, where total laps matter I would want to drop round 3. How are doing this exactly?
