Hosting the Fly Truck Proxy Series

Guys,

The Fly Truck Proxy Series manager could not continue his work and I stepped-in. With that, the dates for the series changed along with the order of track hosts, etc.

Here is the schedule for the series:

All trucks should be received for tech Inspection by June 17th

Tech Inspection (Week of 20 June)

Race #1 (Week of 27 June): Austin Slot Car Club

Race #2 (Week of 18 July): Route 66 Raceway

…

 

Well, long story short: When I planned the new calendar for the proxy series I completely forgot to check our calendar. On the week ok June 27 (Monday) we have an El Piloto race on Thursday, June 30th and we can’t race on Saturday, July 2nd because of the holiday.

 

Here is the best solution I could come up with:

I will have all the trucks for tech inspection on June 17th (Friday). I will check all the trucks that weekend (we have a Slot.it Challenge and Trans-Am series that Saturday) and have everything ready for the qualifying run on Thursday, June 23; we would race the series on Saturday, June 25.

 

Qualifying should be pretty fast, 2 minutes per truck with a total of 15 trucks so far. We need at least 4 people to do this (3 marshals and one driver for each class).

 

Racing will require 6 people; 3 racing while 3 marshal and vice-versa.

 

Let me know if you guys have a problem running the proxy on a Saturday but so far I heard the exact opposite.

 

Here are the dates:

• Qualify: Thursday June 23.
• Race: Saturday June 25.
