Better guide (pickup) for a regular SCX?

I’m pretty tired of the regular guide on the scx cars…. Can you use a SCX PRO guide on the regular scx cars? Is there any other alternative?

Not easy way to do this. I had the guide system on the SCX cars. They are actually worse than the Scalextric cars and I didn’t think that was possible. I looked at doing this on a proxy rally car and abandoned the idea due to the amount of work needed to convert the guide. Don’t like that car that much to invest the time.

You can fit a digital guide to the analog cars, which is a little thicker, and in my opinion more stable, but that’s about it.
