      RACE STARTING TIMES
      – We will have a 2pm hard start for all future races.
Please ensure you and your cars are ready to race by 2pm. We have to be respectful of our member’s time as well as people watching our Live YouTube videos.

      WAREHOUSE AREA CLEANUP
      – We will be cleaning up the space behind the warehouse this Saturday Aug 28th. Please show up at 1pm, bring gloves. We need at least two pickup trucks – so please consider driving yours to the club. We need to dispose of 8 tires, wood and other trash. **This will now make the back area safer for parking up to four cars!

      AUCTION
      – September 11th we will hold an auction for the recently donated slot-car box and its contents as well as the Ninco track pieces and scale buildings. Please check out these items before the auction and be ready to place your bids on the 11th.

      CLUB MEETINGS
We will be transitioning the monthly meetings to be In-Person at the HQ; (usually on the single-headers for the Quarterly series)

Thanks for posting this.  Good to have some clarification on the race times.

I have talked to my boss at the golf course about leaving by 1:45 on race days to get to HQ by 2:00.  I should be at HQ this week by 2:00.  I have been oiling my cars Friday evening to be ready except for the usual tire cleaning before a race.  See you this week.

I was surprised to see the accumulation of big junk behind E1 building last week when I was working on the 8 ball cobra.

By last weekend, 8/21, much of the junk behind E1-A and B had been hauled off incrementally over the last month.

Leaves and paper trash were swept up into large leaf bags; wood pallets cut into smaller pieces; I have been dumping them at my pools “community” dumpster. Sweeping and blower used to group leaves and trash. SCAT scooped up into the bags and thrown into dumpsters.

Some of the excess wood behind the back door, was cut up into smaller chunks. Some hauled off. The large pallets from behind E1-A was moved to behind our back door for each access to cut up and dispose of.
Apparently, Ary cut up the door cover, pallets and remaining wood.

We still have eight tires to haul off.

At 4-years old in Pensacola I repaired my steering linkage on my Ford Pedal-car. Dad later converted this car to a Blue Angel with ailerons and elevators with a working "stick/yoke"; the rudder was controlled by the steering wheel. I like all motorsports - I grew up going to a NASCAR Feeder track with Sportsman and Modified classes, and was lucky to attend drag races in 1970 at Orange County Raceway. My first solder-iron was a Christmas gift at 9yo; I modified T-Jets to be AFX spec before AFX Cars were in local stores. I rebuilt a few tractor & car (SIMCA) engines plus transmissions by 15yo (I still have my ring-compressor and valve spring tool) I am a former mountain and road bike geek & perennial sound engineer.
