Our latest GrandPrix race May 21 was exciting altho we only had six racers.  Our 1st heat was dropped by the video.  Heat-2 pitted Marty against Team-Cassidy who made a strong showing, with everyone posting 3.8s in the first 2 minutes. Its fun to watch Dave rock in his groove as Jordan and Marty sweep their heads in almost robotic precision! Team-Cass stayed very even in laps and ETS as Marty was slightly ahead up to the last minute when Marty put 2 solid laps on the tied father-son team finishing with 75 laps and everyone with 3.7 ets.  Heat-2 rolled in Alex for Jordan and it was almost as much of a sleeper as heat-1.  Alex established dominance in ther first 3 laps caught quickly by Marty at lap-5. Consistency was the theme for this heat as solid 3.8s were posted for at least 2.5 minutes with everyone neck-to-neck until the last minute when Dave was leading in laps until the last 40 secs when Marty pulled ahead by 2 then 3 laps. With very few deslots the excitement was in the extremely close racing at hot speeds.  Heat-4 added Mark as Dave took a rest.  This was also a fairly low drama race as Marty posted a 3.7 within 5 laps and was leading by 3 laps after 3 minutes.  Mark and Alex were neck and neck until the last few minutes when Alex pulled solidly ahead.

At 4-years old in Pensacola I repaired my steering linkage on my Ford Pedal-car. Dad later converted this car to a Blue Angel with ailerons and elevators with a working "stick/yoke"; the rudder was controlled by the steering wheel. I like all motorsports - I grew up going to a NASCAR Feeder track with Sportsman and Modified classes, and was lucky to attend drag races in 1970 at Orange County Raceway. My first solder-iron was a Christmas gift at 9yo; I modified T-Jets to be AFX spec before AFX Cars were in local stores. I rebuilt a few tractor & car (SIMCA) engines plus transmissions by 15yo (I still have my ring-compressor and valve spring tool) I am a former mountain and road bike geek & perennial sound engineer. Struggling guitar hobbyist and Amp "tweeker"
