Great weather and soundtrack contributed to a very pleasant race; for the first time in a long while we saw racers wearing jeans without sweating their ****** off.
Russell dominated the race turning 221.75 laps; scoring the fastest lap ever on a Group-C Slot.it, a 3.847 seconds; and also breaking the heat lap record for Group-C cars, 76 laps.
Jim finished second with an impressive average of 73.08 laps per heat. Ary took third place with the only non-Porsche entry, a Jaguar XJR9. Shawn placed 4th followed by Marty and Brian.
After the race we had a small celebration in honor of Brian’s birthday (Congratulations!!!), key-lime pie and beverages were on the menu.
Race #3 marks the halfway point of the series , only three more to go. Will anyone be able to beat Russell and his Porsche-Chappy?
