Series Manager: Brian H. (aka Bellator)
Period: H1 / January – June (1 round per month)
The Toyota GT-One (designated the TS020 by Toyota Motorsports) is one example of the manufacture’s many efforts to field a car that could win at Le Mans. Taking advantage of the fairly open homologation rules for the 1998 Le Mans season that only required one road-ready example, Toyota built and deployed seven GT-Ones. (One road-legal version, one development prototype, and five race-ready cars, the last being built in 1999) While its initial showing was encouraging, the car was unable to secure a win due to a combination of mechanical (mainly gearbox-related) and on-track-incidents (oh-so-many punctures) common at Le Mans. Come join the members of the Austin Slot Car Club and campaign your own Revoslot Toyota GT-One in our spec series running for the first half of 2025. We can promise good company and that the punctures that plagued the Toyota team in 1998/1999 won’t be a problem. (But we can’t guarantee your gears!). 🙂
This series will be run on our road track.
