The Sixth race of the ASCC Touring Car Championship brought some fun racing with The Volkswagen Golf driven by Ary Barbosa and Alfa Romeo 156 Driven by Rich Chaffee Bringing the win in their respective class! Second place goes out to Stephen and Austin in their Alfas. Third place goes out to Russell and Brett in their Beamers. Fourth place goes to Brian in his Subaru WRX. Fifth place goes to Roy in his BMW M3 GTR! Overall the racing was clean and fast although it looks as if some of the competitors should probably do more maintenance between races to ensure they can make it through the race I certainly need to make sure I do better at this!!
After six hard run races the Final Tally is in and Ary’s Golf takes first place with 103 points and four fast laps with a series fast lap of 4.003. Marty comes in second with 98 points and a series fast lap of 4.003 talk about close. Stephen Finished of the podium for the series with 88 points and a fast lap of 4.078
Rich even after the switch from team BMW to Team Alfa Romeo did not miss a single race and won every race in the B class I can only assume once he gets better in the garage he will quickly make the ascension to the A class. Brett comes in second in his scaley BMW and Austin brings in the final podium spot in the B class of the series
All and all this seemed like a long series with a lot of changes from the slick conditions in the winter months to the warmer conditions of the latter races once you thought you got everything tuned in it seemed like everything changed on you. All in all from this racers perspective it seemed like a fun race series. Now let’s get ready for some Targa Floria and Trans-am!!!!
