First apologies. It seems I was going on bad data when looking at Thunderbolts for the Targa Florio. Marty checked on his own, and indeed the Thunderbolt Lola coupe is legal for the series. Sorry for the mess-up, I will do better in future.

-Warren ZevonCouple questions about current official rules posted.
Are we still limited to sideways and slot.it guides as it says in rules, or is the series open?
Is it okay to coat fronts with Nail varnish? I ask since it is very different than oil soaking.
Thanks 🙂

-Warren ZevonKim,
Thunderbolt cars are too over-scale with wise, so they will not be eligible.
The slot it or NST GT40 are fine.-Marc

-Warren ZevonNice livery. I think John is planning something similar.

-Warren ZevonStarting work on the Targa rules. Series is going to be pretty wide-open setup wise, but will be cracking down on grossly overscale (over wide) models. Attaching a sample scale worksheet form in pages and word formats.
Randy, if it was entered in the targa, it’s eligible.

i did put a grub screw in the plastic fronts to facilitate triune (They spin on the spindle for me otherwise) But have not used the screws in the race, they seem to stay on okay."Enjoy every sandwich"

One is a large steel bar, flush with the scale’s surface, and the other is a small steel wire embedded in copper braid, slightly below the track surface. Is it all just snake oil anyway?

-Warren ZevonI want to apologize gor being grumpy. Kinda stressful these days, should not have vented here.

-Warren ZevonOTOH, if the carpet monster eats a body screw, that sends me to Alan at scale racing.com ti order a replacement which may or may not show up in time for the race, while i have virtually identical screws, save the drive style in my kit.
AS far as the unfair advantage goes. A spec race really ought to have spec controllers if it is to have any meaning. Perhaps spec races should specify the use of the club controllers to level the playing field.

-Warren ZevonAs far as body screws, though, the stock screws are just M2 Phillips, right? The brass, I’m guessing, is slotted. So, no hex or torx? I don’t see the rationale.
