I started this project with the goal of creating a modular track system. The idea was to host events where no one, not even the locals, would have prior experience on the specific layout used that day, creating a truly level playing field for all racers. This sale offers the core components and design files to bring that vision to life.

What’s Included:

• Modular Track Sections (6-Lane, 1/24 Scale):
  • Cut from sturdy 3/4″ MDF.
  • Lane Spacing: 4.25 inches.
  • 2 x Medium Straights (Module 601)
  • 2 x Long Straights (Module 621)
  • 1 x Long S Left (Module 605)
  • 1 x Long S Right(Module 606)
  • 4 x Large Radius Turns (Module 611)
  • 8 x Short Radius Turns (Module 607)
  • Detailed module dimensions are shown in the accompanying photos.
• CNC Routing Path Files:
  • Digital files in .DXF format (compatible with many CNC software programs) for routing the slots on 10 different track module designs.
  • These allow for incredible layout variety and future expansion/replacement.
  • Files specify a standard slot depth (exact measurement not recalled but follows typical routed track standards).
  • Files provided at pickup.
• Alignment Jig & Drill Guides:
  • The physical jig used to accurately drill alignment dowel holes in the modules.
  • (Please Note: The CNC file for this specific jig was unfortunately lost, making this physical jig potentially the last of its kind! It works perfectly for replicating the alignment holes).
• Assembly Hardware: All necessary rubber isolation/spacing pieces, wooden alignment dowels, and Ikea-style fasteners for connecting the modules securely.
• Hauling Cart: A sturdy “Home Depot-style” cart (approx. 8ft long x 32 inches wide) for easily moving and storing the track modules (as seen in video/photos).

Project Status:

This is a project, not a completed track. The included modules have been precision cut based on the CNC designs. The next steps involve:

1. Using the CNC files (requires access to a CNC router) to cut additional MDF track sections.
2. Wiring the track sections for power (braid/tape, power taps – not included).
3. Painting and adding scenery (optional).
4. Adding a power supply, driver stations/controllers, and lap timing system (not included).

With the already cut track modules, you could build a course of approximately 72 feet (22 meters – disregard the 8 lane layout)
