Precautionary Tale. Shapeway and Olifer not longer are in business of making 3D chassis. The potential 66-70 Trans Am Mustang, Camaro, Barracuda race is not viable at this time unless we go way-back to stock Scalextric chassis. Many Fly and other slot cars no longer have 3D chassis available. I don’t know how our group B rally cars can be duplicated if using 3D chassis. Sloting plus makes some for Scalextric under the PCR brand.
The U2 TransAm and SCCA BSedan races were great. One thing I like are the RevoSlot chassis, but there is not a “Class spoiler” Porsche 911 in RevoSlot. John and David have very good other 911’s and I have parts for a IMSA CProd Porsche in Canadian Ludwig Heimrath BFGoodrich livery. I don’t know if the non-Revos could be made competitive.
My other favorite from prior years is the Thunderslot CanAm class. I loved the real cars and the 1/32’s.
I do not have a preference yet for a rally series or two.

If we can find cars that don’t require extensive modification and 3D printing I would be OK with the 1983-1986 time period and no Monte Carlo connection required.
Datto, you can take the series off if you want, but I love the photos you have been doing. Maybe with the children and grandchildren playing sports Marty and I will miss some races so three managers may be a good plan.
Did everyone get their letters/texts/emails to Santa for cars 12/25/23?
If we are following the process for designating race years we will be running 1983-1992. Is 1983-1992 good for the group B years, or should we expand the years earlier or later for some special car(s) that are group B?
I think Datto is penciled in as Manager. I would like to be asst. manager.
I ran narrow tire cars the first Monte Carlo races, but I don’t think I will run a narrow tire car this time. I suggest we run this year, not as Monte Carlo, but general rally group B, open slot car specs that accepts all rally liveries, all tires, open motors, etc., just include a navigator and tires inside of the fenders.
Please add the Mercedes C Klasse AMG car to the eligible list. I own one now.
Radial TA is Slot.It CA54A – Mercedes AMG C-Klasse – ’96 DTM Interlagos GP – Warsteiner #3
If anyone else chooses this car, please make arrangements to change number from 3, and make arrangements with me on the identifying color or marking to distinguish our different cars. (Or if your car looks the same as mine, is faster than mine, I will gladly use your car.)
Since it is a Slot.it like Group C, what would we change in an open class? Motor, wheels, guide, interior, tires?
The discussions have been in person.
!. I agree the 1/24 scale Group 2 was fun and closely competitive.
2. I also would like a shot again with the vintage F1 2023 that is not running right yet.
3. If we select the new 2022 F1, let’s make it later in the year when we can have more factory liveried cars. The more modern the cars, the more complicated the liveries, and that is an integral part of the car.
4. Group C.
5. SRC Rally
6. SRC Toyota and Porsche
I would like to build an Edwardian, even if it just for Goodwood style hill climb demonstration runs.
I would like to run the current Policar Vintage F1 class since I have had “teething problems” for the first two races and will miss the third. I hope my wire change will cure the axle binding problem.
My front axle spins great without the body. I think my wires are pushed down by the body, and rubbing on the front axle. They are pretty bulky wires, so I wonder, does the gauge of the wires affect the power of the motor. I have some flexible small gauge wire.
I suggest that the rules for next year allow bodies formed from colored plastic with gloss finish, not be required to be painted, just clear coated after decals added.
I am curious to see the NSR Formula 22 cars produced for more fine liveries. My Policar F1 is pretty plain orange with no defining actual car.
I could go for a NSR Mosler. They ran last in 2015 I think. Also liked Porsche 917, and group 5 Capri from Covid era I did not get to run myself.
The SRC deal sounds good so far pending a final agreement.
My March Policar runs clear on rally track. Obviously any other rally class we have used also runs clear. Pick something unique.
