I don’t think I have been able to log in to the individual TTS website, or the individual BRM website. Have you been able to. The retailers seem to have them jumbled like the “catalogue” pages you pasted.
Yes to screw in wood track guides. Happy New Year for something I know.
What is the consensus among the top car prep and drivers about the chassis, motor pod, and tires. I just started baking the chassis’ last year or 2018, but don’t know about the hardness on our track. Come on guys, give up the good parts numbers.
Aren’t these the cars with wheels that have some air chamber ribs? Did we change those, or modify them, to make tire truing better?
I really hope I am allowed to compete on Saturdays in this class, but I would just like to have a car that drives great when I am by my self at HQ with the sound system blasting. I was thinking last night that I might bring the amp and guitars to check the acoustics at HQ. I only play into headphones with youtube wired into the amp, except for rare times my wife is out of the house. Maybe we could start a house band, The KN95’s or Twin Turbos.
Stay Safe, I want to pass each of you at the finish line in 2021.
I have been reading the online descriptions of the 1960-1964 TT races and it shows that ’63 was the last year the race was similar to our proposed cars, but 1964 had sports racers like Lotus and Elva plus small displacement cars. Should we drop back to 1963 as the cutoff or just limit the 1964 cars to the ones listed as GT over 2 liters? I also noticed the 289 Cobra roadsters were in the race but we have spec’d coup or hard top.
I’ll participate if we are no longer socially distanced and masked. July-October?
Radial TA
I saw him up close at Mid-Ohio a couple of times with the painted slot car track livery. Quite a racer. RIP Wasn’t he also president of the Polish Racing Drivers Assoc.?
The Porsche is the 908-3 miss labeled 808 in the rules, plus there are 3 optional cars in the 2020 list missing. I think Alejandro has the Nonno Abarth and Marty was considering building the other 2 cars. I sure hope we run this race in person!
I hope you are not putting the cars in parc ferme between races. That would be discouraging. I have no idea if my Capri is competitive until I get a clean track and competition runs.
I hope we are not going to put the cars in parc ferme between races. That would discourage me.
And quit calling the fancy pattern on a tire the “thread”. It is TREAD.
I have a Monogram Shelby GT350 that would be a nice car with a 3d chassis. I would need to fix it from its bad and broken front motor chassis one way or another and would like to make it into the race.
Even though Butch beat RadialTA regularly, last year, I was prepared to race him again. Now I am gathering parts to rebuild a car I liked.
Why did we change the motor rule to only s-can when the long cang was used last time for my Capri?
Professor Motor has a good supply. I just ordered the C7 Corvette Mobil 1 Shanghai #64 in memory of my late father-in-law’s Mobil Oil consignee plant in Pomona. Please do not duplicate this number, or if you do, plan on renumbering. I will probably slap on some BFG tire decals.
Were these cars all the SW version rather than the Angle Winder?
I think we should get on the rally track at least for individual practice like the big track and then be able to race together as the virus danger passes. I also like the idea of running the 2020 rally Porsches, Alfas and Abarth on the big track even thought the set up is probably different. It would be like the real long rallies with different stages. Clockwise and counterclockwise on the big track.
