I don’t believe the Slot.it wood guide to be necessary on these cars.  I’m with Russell on keeping these as stock as possible.

OK everyone.  Please go to this link to vote on your Top 4 series for 2018.  We’re already going to run Group C and a rally event, so we only need an additional 4 series to round out the year.

Here is a link to the tracks. https://www.facebook.com/AmarilloSlotCarRaceway/
The location is on Grand Ave Pkwy.
I hope to have the space ready to move the tracks in by the first of the year.

So we have finally pulled the trigger. We have purchased a 1/4 mile drag strip, 155′ Kingman, an oval and a unseen flat track. We have plenty of work before we will be ready to run, but in the end it will be a 3600 sq ft facility located on Grand Ave Pkwy in Pflugerville.

Let’s get the discussion on series for next year.  As stated in the meeting, put your suggestions here and I’ll put a survey together mid-September for everyone to vote on the ones they want.

                          Randy,

I wouldn’t get too focused on the 4WD thing.  In my experience, it really hasn’t helped or made a difference in the performance of the car.

                            John,

Sorry but the high impact cars are not allowed.  We determined that we wanted a realistic looking car so the clear glass and full interior are required.  You’ll need another body.

John sent this through email and I wanted it collected here:

                              Shawn,

You are the WRC series manager.  Apologies for this not being on the forum but I still have not mastered that beast.  Ordered a Scalextric Ford Fiesta WRC car because it has a Sloting.Plus chassis and vacuum interior available for it.  The Stobart Fiesta came new in the box with the windows blacked out.  The rules specify clear glass. Other than buying another car, can I just install the vacuum formed interior with the drivers and navigator painted and move forward?

                              Thanks,

I have a question about filing the body on the MG6.  As you can see in the pictures, there are 2 tabs that protrude from the bottom of the body under the trunk.  On the factory Scalextric chassis, there are 2 slots for those to sit in.  The Shapeways chassis from Slot.it doesn’t have these slots and thus the chassis will not sit correctly under the body.  Can I cut these tabs on the body off to all for the chassis to fit under the car properly?
