The hubs were fuzzed out so you could not see the four wheel drive pulley that is attached to the hub. Slot It has not officially announced the existence of a four wheel drive Audi R18 so the Forum was asked to fuzz out the image as to not give away the secret.
I would like to propose the following:- Racer Group 5 stock or unlimited
- Open LMP series for any manufactures LMP car that ran at LeMans since 2000

- Fly truck series or proxy
- All Slot Car/Ostero Modern F1 El Pilot

I would like to suggest a change to the points system to a straight 10 to 1 points system with no two point skips between 1st and 2nd and 3rd.

We did have one of our meetings at a resturant but didn’t get much done because there was a little too much drinking and too many other distractions. The goal is to have the meeting somewhere where both levels can be controlled. With an agenda this long its important to stay as focused as possible. We can even book a meeting room at the library if we need to. I would opt for my office first as we have all the supplies, projectors, screens and anything else we might need for the meeting.
I propose we move the racing and keep the meeting on the 13th. I also think the agenda is too big for us to really do justice to all the points. We will have to have laser focus to get through it in a timely manner. Maybe Shawn and I could send out the membership and financial updates so everyone has them to review before the meeting. The big issues are the proposed new rally track, next year’s races and schedule and any proposed rule changes.
I will offer up my house again but holding a meeting with an 11 month old could be challenging. I also have the meeting room at the Sport Shop we could use.
After our conversation yesterday have you used the truer? How is it working?
I am hoping your skill at builing a slot box is far better than your car prep and driving. If not, we are all in trouble!
Toyota Man,
The grey Slot It motor pods are all the off set ones. The light grey pods are 1mm offset and require a special white crown gear that do not have any gear markings on them. The dark grey offset pods are .5mm offset and can be used with a regular colored crown gear.
The best thing to do with the white crown gears is to count them and write a number on them so you only have to do it once.

Toyota Man,
Your slot box looks great! You should put one in Kings and see if they can sell any for you. I wish I would have had you build my boxes as opposed to spending hundreds in shipping. I can’t wait to see it in person.
Toyota Man,Here is something similar that is sold in Europe that looks very similar but costs significantly more.
Toyota Man, you and I have a very similar way to view this with I believe the difference being you have the B level racers racing against each other and the A level racers racing against each other. My proposal has them all racing together so the B level racers get to drive with the A level racers and see how they take a turn or how their car behaves compared to an A level car. The A racers have to learn how to drive around the B level racers by passing in the best possible zones. This makes the racing more like a real AMLS event where their are multiple classes all racing at the same time.
No matter what system we choose I feel we need to have this ready to go for the next round of the Slot It Challenge. Thoughts?
I like the idea of a better home page to draw new people into the site without showing them or confusing them with club race results. I suggest you bring this up at our next club meeting on the 13th of October.
I like the idea of having some specific races where veteran club members are teamed up with new racers but I don’t care for using that format for our series races. I believe the majority of the veteran club members are helpful enough to new or prospective members that we don’t necessarily need to pair them up. It can be tough enough to find time to prepare your own race car and get to the track on time but to add the other layer of a team aspect to it could prove very difficult for many of our members.
Any ideas you have to help the club get more members are always helpful.
Brandon,
The cars are “fast” in a scale sense but will not stay with any Slot it car. Having said that, you can always spend a fair amount of time and money and get this car to work well. With the heavier chassis it shold not require any weight. New motor and blueprinting everything else and it should run very well.
Marty
It would be great to have someone in the club that could make slot boxes for those who were interested. I bet you Kings would be open to you putting one on display and taking orders for them. You could post pictures on the clubs forum and see if you could sell some to members and guests.
Marty
Brandon,
They are beautiful cars and have really cool front wheels that steer but they are absolute dogs on the track. They weigh too much, the tollerances are poor and the motor is weak. If you wanted to put some time and money into one they could be make to run better but I don’t know if they would ever be able to win a series. Having said that, they are super cool looking with lots of attention to detail on the body. They are worth buying just for the looks.
