The Google calendar was created for the first Six months. I will update as things evolve in the coming months. All members – please PM me with any errors or updates.
      ** Very much am interested in some alternate fun races and will schedule some;
such as HO races, out-of-the-box Scaleys or Carerras (with P6s C1s or F30s)
Maybe a vintage race with real old school cars (with fresh tires)

Rules have been updated from the rough ones cloned from 917 coupe rules – hence the body and tire rules that did not make sense.

Note: Some rules across many of our series have been copied from other clubs that raced similar series and had rules that make sense in the UK or Australia, or for sponge tires (e.g. oil soaking) or legacy cars (e.g. wires controlling front axle height) or 1-24 (e.g. guide cannot be visible beyond the splitter).
Over the years some weird rules have been weeded out but others linger – LOL

1 First a correction, the 2018 PT28s have the 2018 printed on the card next to the bar-code, not on a white sticker (altho I could swear some did have a sticker?)
2 Marty – I would like to open the tires up to BRM30s and NSR Supergrips, as long as they are close to the resulting installed and trued size of Slot.IT tires on Slot.IT/racer wheels.
I dont think these would give anyone ad advantage, but it could help some people who are dealing with marbling tires.
3 Can you provide either info on where to get the drum cleaner, or bring some to the track?
The club’s Backrack-2 truer marbled my virgin, 2018 F30s/pt28s last weekend. I did my best to clean the abrasive drum (which may have lighter fluid in either the rubber or the abrasive) but it still resulted in a trued but gummy set of tires.

WHEELS – I believe there are some triple-rib wheels, that could be legal.
Also – the donuts used to fill the air-gap in the Thunderslots would work …
as would O-rings (I have the sizes written down somewhere …) as we used on the AllSlot Formula cars a few years back.

Russell – would a Fly or Carrera Cheetah, with a 3-D chassis be legal?

                (other ‘livery’)

“Russell – Are all the 2018 and later tires the new, problematic compound?”
YES-The older vintage do not seem to marble or shed like the 2018 versions.  Not sure if any 2019 or newer are affected.

The 2018s have a noticeable white sticker on them, so they are easy to ID.

When truing the 2018 F30s, do not use Lighter-fluid.  When smoothing/dressing before a heat, only use lighter-fluid on a rag with a light rub.

                    F-30/SIPT28 ISSUE
The problem David was referring to is that the Slot.IT F-30s (SIPT28) – with a 2018 Date, seem to be gummy and marble/shed easier than earlier versions. They do not tolerate Lighter-fluid well, for example when dressing the tires before a round or heat. They *look* good in your hand then marble up on the track, taking 3 to 7 laps to shed and then true themselves on the track, (then after 50 laps they started to shed & chunk[1])  While being trued they seem to absorb -and retain- the L/F more than older versions.
The date sticker is on the lower right hand of the hanger-card face, below the label and bar-code.  Previous versions did not seem to have a date. King’s last batch of F30s were 2018s.
Many online vendors still have these tires in stock (but you will not know if you are getting the 2018s until you open the shipping box).
                    —–
Like Dave, most of my ‘fresh’, bagged F30s are the 2018 versions. They shed dramatically during the 2020 DTM Proxy. After every round they became out-of-true due to lost material [1]. After round-3 my tires were toast.

I also would be interested in running a Cheetah; I have a Carrera ‘aluminum/chrome’ version. With the OEM chassis it responds well to a 21.5 Slot.IT. The front wheels are independents; but the OEM size makes it a challenge to clear the tires off the track; Plus there is not much room in the chassis to sub with a wider (but smaller diameter) alloy Slot.IT wheel. So – I replaced mine with independent wheels from another Carrera with a smaller diameter.
The body is thick in places, and the chassis is very tight on the inside (limited spots to out ballast). If the Cheetah is allowed I would also prefer that a 3D chassis be allowed for Carrera. MRRC and other brands with challenging chassis.

                                NEED MEMBER FEEDBACK – 2021 GT3
                                1. CHASSIS
Do we wish to restrict chassis to the out-of-the-box, OEM installed chassis – Medium Black (part# is specific to each body style)? Or do we wish to open up to the harder Green and White chassis?

                                2. POD
Do we wish to restrict pods to the out-of-the-box, OEM installed SW chassis – typically Hard Red NSR-1264?  I see no advantage or rational for using softer pods :O

                                3. MOTORS
                                a) If you buy a GT3 with a Sidewinder, the current models ship with a modern Shark-25 (3043, 25k, EVO, 180gm TQ) vs. the older shark-25 (3003, 25k, 176gm TQ).
                                b) The legacy Shark-22 is not being offered by NSR in their current catalog; altho many vendors still have some in stock; PLUS many of us have them from the 2017-917 series. The replacement is the Shark-21.5 (3041, EVA, 21.9k, 164gmTQ)
                                c) Do we wish to spec the 3043 as the only motor- to enhance a “level playing field”? or open the spec up to any NSR below 25Krpm, allowing people to use existing spares?

Difalco Brake/Coast Switch – to replace the small Slide switch for the Brake relay:
                                  Difalco DD551 $8.00 – mini-bat-handle 9-pin, 2-contact, 3-position, (i.e. DPTT, 2P3T) 1/4 mounting hole
Mount in a hole next to the Brake Pot; use two wires (20AWG, solid) one on a center lead, the other on one of the outside leads. The 3-Position adds safety, by requiring Two clicks to go from Full-Relay (cutting out the pot/knob) or variable (engaging pot/control; relay cut-out)
