Brian,
Speaking of using all BRM parts. Have you seen the new BRM controller? 😯
Marty
Wasn’t that vaporware from 2007? Has it been resurrected?

(Leroy Grumman)No worries here… (so far) Occasionally the wife makes me go to Houston, but no mention of that this year.

Speaking to your issue with the BRM rules and the fact that only BRM parts can be used – I was reading the forums last night to see if there were any updated 2011 BRM rules and came accross something that Alan wrote about using the motor shim in the older Porsche chassis. He said that once you install the motor shim you cannot tighten the motor holder down all the way as it will flex the chassis and possibly break it. The approved solution is to use BRM front axle spacers between the motor holder and the chassis. Only BRM axle spacers will be allowed. Don’t even think of using some off the shelf washer for this application. Anyone need the part number for BRM’s brass axle spacers? S-001W.
Marty
I guess I’ll be ordering something resembling that part number. Thank goodness BRM doesn’t make lube, or controllers, or air… 😈

I don’t understand the question… everyone who has raced four or more races has a line plotted for the total number of laps in round. It’s just a png file… you’re seeing something different?

(Leroy Grumman)I’m seriously considering this, but I have to balance it with a couple of other trips I plan to make this year. So… I can’t quite answer yet.

I’ll second the encouragement for everyone to vote in the poll. 3 votes doesn’t quite cut it in the statistical realm folks. Click away!!!

(Leroy Grumman)Based on our discussion this past Thursday (2/24) we will plan to hold the BRM Series as the ONLY race on the weekends between our regularly scheduled 1/32 series. This is tentatively planned to start in April.
As of this writing, there are four participants that I am aware of. Me, Marty, Shawn, and Ary(?). Is anyone else interested in running the “big dogs” in the series?

(Leroy Grumman)Sorry… yeah, I’m interested. But lets figure out a schedule and how to integrate it with the BRM class. (That series completely slipped my mind Saturday.)
