I want to propose one addition to the rules that is more of a statement than a change:

Tires may be glued to the rim.

Because the classic tire compounds that are currently available from most (all?) of our regular suppliers are so soft (Shore 25 or softer) they tend to peel off the rim under acceleration in corners.  This affected me quite a bit in the late races of the Mille Miglia, and while it didn’t have much impact on my placement (that was due to other issues) it seemed like a needless issue to have to deal with, especially considering how many other issues we have to address with an “open” series.

The reason I want to explicitly state this is because we don’t allow gluing tires to rims in year-long Slot.it series, and I think we have generally applied that rule to the other series, even it wasn’t explicitly stated.

I had hoped to, but with 24 hrs of Le Mans, the final races of Q2, Grand-Am, and Father’s day conspiring against my schedule I won’t be able to make it.

I like the idea, but the timing might not work. We’ll have to see how the proxy schedules work out.

I think the Fly Truck proxy is a lock if we continue with our current two-series quarters… We’ll have to see about the plans Monte has for the Touring car proxy.  Either way, they are both good series, whether we do a proxy or not.
