Mel & Jeanette,
I hope you guys had a great time at COTA … I sure did, those V8 Supercars sound awesome!
I have finally uploaded the pictures to google:
It was very nice having you two around. I, too, hope to see you again someday.

I think only me and Steve started testing our Porsches. My last run was trying the BRM tires; I think Steve has Slot.it F30 installed.
Bob, at this time we don’t have a spec tire for this series. The BRM tires didn’t work and the F30’s are too narrow.
Slot.it’s new F18 tire is about to hit the shelves and I’m just waiting on that to make a decision.
Very nice, Steve.
You need to apply another coat of clear.
Marty,
There are no mandatory tires for Scalextric GT; the rule change is for the Slot.it Porsche 911 GT1 series, I will post in the appropriate topic.
Ary.
Wrong series …
I’m going nuts.
March 28, 2013 at 5:37 PM in reply to: Upgrading / tuning a Scalextric GT McLaren MP4-12C for non-magnet wood track racing #1877… Why 7800 RPMs?
Roy,
My Group-C Slot.it has 15mm wheels and turns about ~8500 RPM at the wheel (fast car); since the Scalextric has 17mm wheels, which will travel farther per revolution, I thought that 7800RPM would be a good start. (I didn’t math check it) — Thanks for asking, I will add something about it in the article.
… When you increased weight how did that change the ratio?
Weight only slows the car down, it doesn’t change the gear ratio.
Jesus, Roy!!! I have just spat out my drink laughing.

HUHAUHAHUAUHAUHAUHAUHAUHA!!! Very nice avatar!
Nice job! I believe there won’t be any quality issues after this.
I saw that chassis and became instantly interested … until I saw the 37 euro price tag, which does not include the motor pod
(https://www.prsslot.it/dettagli.asp?sid=46956446220130214065059&idp=167&categoria=20).Cost shouldn’t be too bad after I figure out what works. It gets expensive when you buy one of each size gear, pinion, tire, inserts, etc.
M3 GTR is allowed.
Shawn,
This link (https://ditech-produktion.com/html/resinbodies_1_32.html) should help. 🙂
Jim,
Motor ratings are in 12Volts.
