I saw these rules posted on SCI and thought they would be a good starting point for this series.
• Must use stock chassis no pod, original chassis.
• Tire width must be the original width and height. Maximum Width is 11mm.
• Motors up to 22400
• Guide flag (Any guide flag is allowed)
• Must have stock interiors.
• Sidewinder drive configuration.
• No lowering body (cutting body post).
• Must have clear glass. (No high impact cars)
• Adjustable front end is allowed.
• All lead must be inside the car.
• You are allowed to file the body to allow for float. Not to reduce weight.
• The car you start a race with you must finish with. You can change cars throughout the race series. If your car breaks down during the race you may fix it or pull out of the race. If you run a new car you will not receive any points for the race.Thoughts and feedback?

November 6, 2012 at 2:02 PM #1809I reserve the Aston Martin DBR9 #52 Young Driver car.
November 6, 2012 at 6:03 PM #1810What is the ruling on the Scalextric Pro Performance kits?
Available in Audi R8 and Aston Martin DB9 variants.
Personally, I think they can be allowed, as they seem to be nothing more than a white-kit with a parts bin. Might want to spec the wheels so they are scale…
Build it strong.
Keep it simple.
Make it work.
(Leroy Grumman)November 6, 2012 at 6:30 PM #1811My vote is to allow the Scalextric Pro cars. They come with all the mechanical parts you would need to fix a regular Scaley at a much lower cost, the drawback is that all Pro cars are white kits and will require painting.
Now, the Lamborghini Gallardo GT-R was only made as a high-impact car – we need to scratch that one from the list.
If we are calling dibs on cars; my car is the Audi R8 Phoenix Racing:

Jaguar XKR GT3, Apex Racing Team

November 8, 2012 at 8:31 AM #1814OK, I have removed the Gallardo GT-R. I specifically went through that list looking for that and I thought I found one that had a full interior. I can’t find it now of course.
I have zero issues with the allowing the Aston Martin DBR9 and Audi R8 pro cars. Remember that the rear axle is 3mm and not 3/32, so you can’t just put this car together and get different wheels for it.
November 8, 2012 at 11:05 AM #1816should the mercedes SLR be on the list it looks like a gt . just a curiosity question

November 8, 2012 at 12:54 PM #1817What voltage is the 22.4K rpm measured at? Will we race at 11v?

November 9, 2012 at 8:26 AM #1822The Dodge Viper, Mercedes SLR, and Maserati MC12 were removed due to the inline configuration and in the meeting we stated sidewinder configurations only. I’ve made the changes in the draft rules to reflect this.
