Wish I had the space. Georgetown club?
Marty,
I think it’s too early to figure out what kind of races we will be having on F1 weekend. If we have to, we can always pay a little extra and have additional plaques done in town.
I believe 30 plaques are the minimal order with our current supplier.
Some nice stuff coming from Slot.it this year, but the final sentence in their note on SCI gives me pause:
“It is worth noting that starting in 2012, all GT cars will come with AW as standard, with FLAT6 open can motor. This is a major change which we believe further raises the performance of our box stock cars.”
We’re gonna have to figure out how to make these this setup work on our track.
Interesting …
I have been trying to figure that out myself, I think weight would definitely help.
Since we know that our Group-C cars perform well, I wil use it as basis:
- car weight: 70 grams
- orange enbell torque: 170 grams
— 70 grams is 41.17% of 170 grams on the motorNow, the Flat-6R has 220 grams of torque. I’m thinking that if we match the weight of the car to ~40% of Flat-6R torque (220 grams), the car should perform: car should weight ~90 grams in order to use the Flat-6R.I will try that setup in one of my McLarens and report back.Downloaded. I just need a larger printer now.

The pitch values for anglewinder gears 32, 34 and 36 were wrong, those gears are 17.95mm but were calculated as 15.5mm.

Merry Christmas !!! HO ! HO ! HO !
.. and here is something else funny:
We are missing the El Piloto races on the calendar for Q1, should we race it the same day as the club meeting?
Shawn,
Sounds good to me — add it up!
I will try to make a pie … let’s see what happens.
See yall Saturday.

Let me know if any modification is necessary.
Before 59 is pretty hard to classify a GT car. Here is a list of GT cars that participated on Le Mans, Sebring, Nurburbring & Spa from 59 to 69; the respective slot cars and kits are also listed.

Past Thursday we had a test bracket race and it was fun! We tried different ways to manage the laps for a 4.2 bracket, but the best solution was to change the minimal lap time under Trackmate.
It became clear that you really do not want to go below the bracket time, losing a lap would put you on the back of the pack, the only thing to do after that is to pray that someone else goes below as well.
Brian,
You set the time for your cars, there is no need to have someone else verify it. If, during a 4.3 bracket race, you turn a 4.280 lap, that lap would not count.
