The Austin Slot Car Club celebrated another great year with the annual Christmas party and the presentation of awards. There was plenty of food for all and gifts were exchanged. A stand-in was required for Marty Muelegger as he was attending the state high school championship football game, where Westlake was narrowly defeated in overtime. This year, no gifts were “stolen” in the Yankee swap; Steve McQueen items were popular.

| The Drag Race Comp Eliminator was Mitch, who, like Marty, was unable to attend. |  |

| Brett won the Tough Luck drag award with a blown motor |  |
| Marty won the award for the fastest race lap. |  |
| And, David capped off a terrific year, winning both overall lap leader and most improved driver. |  |
