NSR Formula 22
Round 2
October 5, 2024

Round 2 of NSR Formula 22 was anything but dull. Wild and crazy was more like it. The huge number of multi-car crashes and deslots added to the excitement. The track was in reasonably good shape and the clubhouse temperature was around 85.

Brian debuted his yellow and black Benson & Hedges Renault. Marty came to race with a Pennzoil Indycar piloted by Lone Star J.R., Johnny Rutherford. Both cars were race ready.

Marty was on the path to challenge Dave, but stripped one of the infamous NSR crown gears about 50 seconds before the end of the first heat. Dave’s Aston was flying. John and Brian traded places several times during the heats. Marc dealt with some handling issues.

1st went to Dave with 224.25 laps and 3.744 best. John was 2nd with 212.76. Despite a mechanical DNF in the first heat, Marty managed a 3rd with 208.77 laps. Brian was close behind in 4th with 208.17 laps. Marc followed in 5th with 192.12 laps.

As our drivers learn to tame their F22s, expect to see faster times and higher laps in round 3.
