The second outing for the 2024 Monte Carlo Rally (Group B) series was held on September 7.
Revisions to the timing system were made by Brian, who switched out the in-slot timing sensors for one with the beam crossing the track.
A coin toss determined the course would be run in the counter-clockwise direction. David C was dominant again with his Scaleauto Porsche 959, turning in a blistering 276.49 second time for forty laps. Behind Dave was Melvin B. with a 285.08 time with his Scaleauto MG Metro 6R4. In third was Marc T. with a 292.63 time with an Avant Slot Opel Manta.
We’re still working on the rally track, optimizing the timing system, video feeds, and there is still a lot to do in the scenic department. Even with open spaces and some technical teething pains, it is a joy to run on the “new” rally track!
