Got some money on the side to buy a BRM, this way someone else on the club can use Marty’s 2nd car. Let me know if anybody plans to race the Porsche Coke or the Porsche Lowenbrau, all the others have unattached wings and I’m not going for it.
Some of those rules are simply to increase BRM’s sales. The weight rules that Marty already pointed out is one of them, followed by braid and spacers — kind of annoying.
The slot car I’m setting up is illegal already .Man,
I just did some research and we could also be running Slot.it Challenge Regionals — I would vote to do that ASAP. (https://www.slotcarillustrated.com/portal/forums/showthread.php?p=498922)
Back to the subject; I’m guessing we will follow the BRM Internationals Rules Book for this one? (file attached)

If we keep to our current schedule we will have a race on the 23rd of April. This is the Saturday before Easter. The date works for me but I wanted to make sure it works for everyone else.
Marty
Not a problem.
I’ll be there sometime this afternoon. I need to adjust the El Piloto cars.

I can only see Shaw’s results from Round 3 and Round 5 (straight line up), there are no graph bullets on Round 1,2 and 4.
Forget it. Shawn did not race on Round2. His “bullet” is just a vertical trace and it was hard to see. All good.

Shawn,
I still think I can’t paint; I’m just practicing.
Painting the models is the only think I’m still not comfortable in doing, it was also the most stressful .. but I will try to buy the yellow lane car, that’s my favorite. Here are some close-ups:
Did something happen? I can only see to results on Shawn’s graph.
Any news about the date for the meeting?
After further testings, we will be racing the series at 11 volts — and yes, it is final this time .

Marty, the interiors come painted — thankfully. All the models are pretty much done, I still have to apply all the decals and clear — which reminds me that I should have not installed the windows, dammit. No lights, the budget is tight, there are no deep guides either.
I was thinking about sending the armatures to get balanced but the company that does that service is yet to tell me if they can do it or not. I have just started breaking-in all the motors, they will work just fine without balancing.
All tires have been trued, sized and I have applied nail polish to the fronts. Chassis have been baked, pods & pod beds have been sanded, front axle height has also been set. I still need to figure out the rpm at the wheel & COG of all cars.
Here are the latest pics:
Cars are coming along and hopefully will be ready for a test drive by next Thursday, March 10th. I will also try to have the series schedule ready by the 10th.
All participants that have not yet paid their fees ($40) need to do so. Also, please vote on the poll, the deadline will be the first series race.
I’m taking pictures of everything that had to be done to the car, I will write some sort of a guide at the end. Here is a preview:
I’m up for it, I will clear a week around those dates and hopefully nothing wrong will happen until then.
I guess I will need to buy some Scaleauto and Avant Slot models, not to mention a BRM .. this is going to cost a few bucks :|.
