ASCC was one the exhibitors of the 2011 Austin Scale Model Show, on September 24th.
The annual event, hosted by the Austin Scale Modeler’s Society, helps promoting scale modeling in Central Texas. Hundreds of incredibly detailed scale replicas, ranging from automotive to Sci-Fi, decorated the tables at the Contest.
Our club members displayed a large array of modern and classic slot cars; a huge success amongst the scale modelers. — some could not believe we actually raced the most intricate models. Another huge hit at the show was our two lane custom routed wood track. Non-stop free races entertained both kids and adults throughout the duration of the event.
We would like to thank you all for the warm welcome we received, and congratulations to Maria Serna, winner of the drawing for a Scalextric Audi R8 slot car. All the participants in the drawing received a coupon for 15 minutes of track time; those coupons can be used at our larger track, located at Kings Hobby Shop.
