The first race after motor swap was marked by record breaks. With a little help from the Texas heat, the track temperature is up and racers are turning more and much faster laps.
Shawn and Marty were the only racers that did not break their personal total lap counts; both had more laps on race#5 Q1 were Shawn had set the track record to 219 laps and Marty’s total was 215 laps.
Ary, Russell, Jim, Brian and Roy improved their personal lap counts.
Although Roy was absent for the past three races, he didn’t show any sign of rust, and for the first time completed over 200 laps. Brian and Jim continue to improve their lap times and counts; 4.0 laps are now common and both are new members of the 210+ total laps club. Russell raced like a pro improving his best race result by 2 laps and was just shy of a lap on the 3.9 seconds. Ary seemed to possessed and broke both fastest lap and total laps track records.
After setting the fastest lap at 3.857, Ary revealed that his secret was the use of Shore 30 tires.
