Ary showed up that the clubhouse with a Brazilian feast of sliced beef, sausage, grilled corn on the cob, flour tortillas, chips and two kinds of salsa. Everything was really tasty. Thanks, Ary!!
Group B had two entries as Kim has gone to Boston for three weeks. Randy’s white Chaparral turned a respectable 210 laps with a best time of 4.032 for the win. Mark ran a personal best with his Alfa turning 205 laps and a 4.132 best for second. Mark has proved to be a quick learner.
Group A had six entries. First on the podium was Dave’s McLaren turning 227 laps and a series record of 3.674. Second went to Marc’s Max Verstappen Red Bull running 222 laps and best lap of 3.758. Good job, Marc! John’s Fernando Alonso Aston cracked off 220 laps and a best of 3.820 to take the final podium slot for 3rd. 4th went to Mel’s Aston Martin running 215 and a 3.911 for his best lap. Brian’s Ferrari took 5th getting 211 laps and best of 3.965. Marty cracked a motor pod and ended the day with 111 laps and a 3.871 for best time in 6th position.
For some reason, there were a number of crashes into the wall past the bridge. A mysterious liquid was found at that part of the track near the wall which Steve called “water”. If anyone is using an excessive amount of braid cleaner between races please don’t. John was awarded the dreaded Colapinto award for his inverted agricultural excursion through the infield.
