Brian,
Nice car. If you plan to race it in Classic GT, replace all the Lucas Electrical components first and glue on the Avons or Dunlops before you race it

I think I will run the Daytona Coupe or the Porsche 904.
If flakey, try
Autorama btw, not Admin.
That’s awesome! Thanks for the writeup, Russell.
Ary,
Would you be willing to collect this and update the first post so we don’t have to run through the entire thread?
Thanks, Ary!
Do we have a full set of rules posted? Need to check the compliance of the car I want to race.
All,
Dave passed away on 4/26/2012. He was such a great guy, and passed unexpectedly. I’ve set up a memorial fund for his family. Please consider donating. Every small donation adds up.
A little more about him: Dave was a tinkerer at heart, and a very gifted musician. He guided me through a bass guitar fret removal. We created the site below, and simply give the instructions away. He wrote articles and reviews for a couple other sites, too. Always interested in helping others. Together, we can help his family through this really tough time!
I apologize if this is out of context. I’m just hoping to show Dave’s wife and daughter how many lives he blessed.
Peace,

Things are coming along nicely at the Races2U retail location. Here is a pic of our Circuit of the Americas track in Scalex 1:32 digital, under construction.
Our Daytona Tri-Oval built with Carrera Digital 1:32 banked curves is already up and running, and has a few scenery items on it. Still needs some detail work, but not much.
I will need some “beta testers” over the next couple of weeks, so if you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and say hello, and take one of our cars for a couple laps. Hope to see ya’ll out there soon.
That track would have been 2 feet too long for me in any case. My space for it is only 15′ wide, and there would need to be at least a foot, preferably a foot on each side, to get arouund it. I suppose it’s for the best. Come on out and check out my space when you get the chance, as I would still like to build a routed track, but not for the 1:24 cars, just 1:32. Sorry ya’ll, but it’s a space and expense thing.

Thanks for the questions – comments. We have a free (sih) warehouse, I own and will “loan” to the club, maybe in time collect a few bucks for utilities, etc.
Local Hobby shop no so great but should allow us to post a flyer. We have three confirmed members. The plan, good or bad, is to get interest through word of mouth to generate 15 – 20 members while trying to generate or rekindle interest in the hobby. We are located about 30 minuite drive from 4 larger cities, the closet commercial track is about 2 hours away. several tracks have closed the last few years that were closer, we hope to get some interest from the folks that went to these tracks. Plan to have website and facebook pages. Will post fliers in hobby shops in neighboring towns.
Hi Marty-
I’m curious what are the dimensions of your track. I may very well be able to accomodate it and the club, while still having plenty of room for my other 2 tracks. I would certainly be interested in seeing it if it is still available.
Thanks!
Warren
Seems like they would be very difficult to align properly.
