Brian,
Shawn had already suggested to race the F1’s @ 10Volts and he was right about it. Yesterday we raced Trans-Ams and apparently the motors had been broken-in … it was fast @ 10Volts. Marty was the only one that stayed on the track @ 12Volts, he had already set the car for that voltage with some weight. In the end we agreed to change it to 10 Volts.
Update:
Both Trans-Am and Modern Formula One will be raced at 10 Volts.

Nice one Roy, anything named after a mustache is funny .
Here are some names for evaluation:
T 1: Runway
T 2: Balena Carousel, Peraltada
T 3: Senna S, Schumackers
T 4: Bonsai Terrace, Casino Terrace
T 5: Zorro Bend/Kink, Cowboy Bend/Kink
T 6/T 7: Sunset Bend, Victory Parabólica
T 8: Blind Man’s StraightI’m bringing this topic back to life.
Some of the members have previously tried to name the turns but we did not fully agree with some of the names.
This time around we could do it by vote. Any member interested in naming the turns would reply this topic with the list of turn numbers and their consecutive name.
To refresh your memory:

Thank you sir. 🙂
Kings may have sold all their 25ohm Parma controllers. You can always ask them to order you one.
If you need it asap, Professor Motor, HotSlots132 & PowerSlotCars.com are some of the vendors I have used in the past.Good news!
We have six confirmed entries.
I will be collecting the $40 entry fee this Saturday (2/26) and next Thursday (3/3).A suggestion has been made to auction two of the slot cars used, with the third going as a prize for the overall series winner. Please vote on the new poll.
The slot cars for this series will be Slot.it McLaren F1’s. Full parts list bellow:
Item Cost Qty Total Slot.it McLaren F1 - CA10Z 49.99 3 149.97 Slot.it Sidewinder Kit - KK13 17.99 3 53.97 Slot.it Wood Guide - CH07 5.99 3 17.97 Slot.it 20X11 P6 - PT25 8.99 3 26.97 Slot.it Pinions - TBD 3.99 2 7.98 86.95 256.86I’m guessing that it will take $25~40 for box plates. With approximately $200 for cars & tune-up I would probably go with Slot.it. When you add $50 per car, guide, tires & pinion/gear — it will be tight, some upgrades may not make the cut.
Regardless of the brand, I will buy GT cars, this way we can end the series before the GT unlimited and the club members can buy the models we used.
There are 26 Thursdays from April to September; assuming we can get this going in April (maybe a week earlier), the series would be over before GT started.
I’m not going to worry about schedule if there is no interested in the class. That said, we could race it every other Thursday, the off-Thursday can be used for BRM.
I have no problem doing it.
Last race Marty was late and I did the inspection, Marty may want to do it this time.I’m yet to hear anything about this series … what’s up?
Likes, dislikes? The local sign shop told me that they cannot produce the new design.
I’m searching for a shop capable of producing it and I will let the club know the costs as soon as I can.BTW, I have revised the design, check below:
Marty,
I see you really want to drag me into this … FINE!! 😆
I will offer my services as clerk of the course :ugeek: + corner marshal.

I would assume that this is legal. If the majority agrees with that, I will add it to the rules.
Now; the F22’s are not performing as well as the yellow dogs. I happened to have a bag of F22’s and ended up installing them instead of ordering the yellow dogs.
I would recommend buying the appropriate yellow dogs and forget about the deal with o-rings, etc.
BTW, here are some pictures:
O-rings installed (CA glued) and sanded.
O-ring used. I don’t know the size. A few years ago I purchased a box of assorted o-rings (300 or so) from Harbor Freight — they may have it still.
Jim,
There are Yellow Dogs made specifically for Scalex F1 rims: part# 1103Y (Outer Diameter: .794″ / Width: .453″).
What Russell suggested works perfectly, I did it to mine. I glued the o-rings, sanded them to be at the same level as the raised area and installed the F22’s.
