Fly truck proxy races preregistration started today. I know most of you don’t like the big trucks, but just in case you change your mind: https://www.slotcarillustrated.com/portal/forums/showthread.php?t=45144

I will enter a SISU truck; just ordered some NSR wheels & tires for it.

Yeah… I don’t have a truck so I don’t think I’ll be entering in that one. I’ve already got 2 cars that are going out in Feb.

ya i am going to agree with shawn on that. My trucks don’t work that well on every turn they pop out. Go figure

            Log:

Truck is behaving more like a car. Fastest lap time was 5.07 on blue, 5.34 yellow and green. Need to reinforce all small plastic parts. Tires are too grippy and corners need to be sanded more, could use more acceleration (but it needs less break), can use more 10 grams on the nose — remove lead from guide pocket and transfer to nose.

              Yeah!!!
Truck is handling like a GT. Times are:

              With 30X9 gearing:
              Green: 5.048
              Blue: 4.985
              Yellow: 5.102

              With 27X9 gearing:
              Green: 4.963
              Blue: 4.864
              Yellow: 4.987

I guess I need to setup a second truck myself — need something to compare performance.

Those are some great times! What did you do to get the times that low? I know you were looking at lowering the front and getting another chassis. Did you complete those changes? Was there anyone else running on the track when you were there?

                  Marty,

I didn’t see anyone while I was running .. but someone was there earlier.
I lowered the front wheels about 2~3mm, rearranged the weight and added another 5g to the nose; the total weight is around 180g now. I still need to receive my new chassis and guide — shipping time is horrible this month — but I managed to salvage the chassis I already have, it turned out nice.
