Here is a little tool made for reading motor power following Ohm’s law: P=V*I.
Motor to be tested (#1) is powered and connected to motor #2. Motor number #2 acts as a dynamo. Motor #3 is a simple charge.
All my voltage and ampere reading are done on motors #2/#3.
The dynamo and the charge never change, this should produce consistent results.
The alligator clips connected to motors #2 and #3 are used to close the circuit for voltage and amperage readings. Voltage readings need to be done in parallel and amperage readings are done in series.

Reading Amperage:
The example above would result in: Power= 4.1118*58.782(ma); Power= 241.699mW. Since the test was conducted at 4 volts, multiply the results by 3 for motor power at 12 volts = 725.099 mWatts.
