      Guys,

Just wondering if anyone is interested in taking part of the 2012 Slot.it Shootout or Race Across America proxys?

      Here is the basic info:

      Slot.it Shootout:

      1. “Group C “: Stock
      2. “Group C Evo.”: Almost any Slot.it part may be used.

      Race Across America:

There are three classes in the RAA for 2012: P, GT1, GT2. All classes are no-magnet.

      P is mostly open.

      GT1 is full-mod, faster motor, kit/RTR based. GT1 weight minimum 80g.

      GT2 is limited-mod RTR , with slower motors. GT2 weight minimum 95g.

Registration for both proxys is not yet open.

I will probably be entering a car on the Group C Evo class, and I believe I could use one of my Slot.it McLarens for the RAA. If anyone else on the club is interested, we could help each other setting up the cars.

      Ary.

BTW, I know our schedule is pretty tight, but we could host some proxy events if enough club members showed interest.

      Ary,

I am all for entering the proxy and for hosting a round.  I would love to see how are cars compare to the others out there.  I have seen some crazy stuff on the forums and would like to think that our set ups can do well.  I am all in for it.

      Group-C Evo underway:

BTW: Anybody has a spare Tamyia – Gloss White rattle can?

Registration is now open for Slot.it ShootOut. Anyone can register but only 24 cars will be participating on the series, Group-C & Evo combined.

“The Grid will be comprised of 24 cars based on the percentage of entries received in each class of Group C and Group C Evo. e.g. If a total of 20 Group C and 10 Group C Evo cars are received for pre-qualifying then the fastest 16 Group C and fastest 8 Group C Evo cars will run in the 2012 Slot.it Shootout. “

      Registration fee is $75.

Entrants whose cars make the grid will be entitled to receive the Slot.it Shootout 2012 Commemorative car. All entries not making the grid will be entitled to a Slot.it Group C white kit and $10 of store credit or a current standard Slot.it car of the entrant’s choice with the return of their car.

Looks like my Lancia silver Camel LC2 is ready other than a guide flag change.

Ary, have you heard what tire they’re going to spec?

I can’t remember what number is already on the car so I need to check that tonight and get it reserved or select another.

I’ve paid for the Slot.it Shootout Grp. C and reserved my number.

Ary, what tires are you testing with?  F30s?

I’m gonna try to stick with P6 tires, if that doesn’t work out I will send the car with F30s — but I will also send a second set, pretty sure one set of F30s wont last all the rounds.

20X11 first … I’m planing on using a 0.5 offset sidewinder with toyota wheels. Just got the parts on the mail, will try to work on the car tonight at the track.

and come tonight and will bring mine as well.  I need to replace the guide.  I have the newer guide flag that came off the Toyota 88C that I’ll use.

They’ve selected the 20×10 F22.  That seems very optimistic but oh well.  Set on order.  I’ll true ’em up and see how she goes.

The younger sister to my Petrobras Lancia is ready for debut.

The paint job came out a lot nicer this time around. Here she is:

That looks great.  Either you did a fantastic job on the body or your photoshop skills are off the charts.

Did you see that livery somewhere or did you just make it up?

      Have you run it yet?

      Thanks guys.

Brian, that was the car I was running Thursday night.

The N22 tires seem to work well. I had to change the motor and ended-up not running any comparison tests between P6, N22 & F30 — will do it later and let you guys know which works best.
