Body
- Required: OEM hard glass & cockpit.
- Major body parts (i.e. windows, wings, lights/light covers) must be intact at the beginning of each race. Rear wings, splitters, and/or spoilers must be re-attached for each heat.
- Small, vulnerable parts such as antennas, mirrors, wipers, or tow-hooks do not have to be replaced after race damage.
- Mold marks, mounting pins, and flashing may be removed/smoothed.
- White kits must have at least three race numbers affixed. One on each door/side of car and one on a top surfaces such as the hood, trunk, roof, or windshield.
- White kit bodies must be painted or clear-coated.
- Due to the wide range of cars available, duplicate liveries are strongly discouraged. A duplicate livery is defined as the same decoration and race number.
Chassis
- Any NSR chassis made for the selected body is permitted, but take note that our track seems to favor the Extra-Hard-Green or Hard-White chassis when grip is high. The OEM Black-Medium chassis can be tuned to work quite well and may be the best bet for versatility.
- If the car is equipped from the factory with the drop-arm guide holder, that part must be fitted to the car. The arm may be fixed with the applicable screw. Cars not equipped with the drop-arm (i.e. C8.R) are allowed.
- Flash may be sanded and molding marks removed. Ballast for tuning weight-distribution must be placed on the inside of the chassis or motor pod.
- NSR Guides -Wood (deep/long) screw mount (NSR-4859); OEM snap-in (NSR-4841). Shims and/or guide springs may be added adjust the depth of the keel/blade.
- Open-Choice (i.e. not required to be an NSR part):
- Motor Lead Wires, Grommets, Pick-up braid.
- Body and motor pod screws
- Expressly Prohibited:
- Magnets
- Ballast on the exterior of the car/chassis/motor pod.
- Gaps between the body and chassis (or pod) exceeding 1mm (credit card thickness)
- Clearance between the chassis and track that will cause contact between the two in a race.
Motor
- Options:
- Shark-25-EVO (OEM NSR-3043; 25K 180GM)
- Shark-21.5 (NSR-3041; 21.9K 164gm)
- Vintage Shark-22 (NSR-3001; 22.4K 168gm)
- If the wrapper comes off or is damaged and the “can tattoo” for Model/RPM is viewable the motor can pass.
- Trimming Endbell Side Shaft for tire clearance and shaving the can, on the drive side, near the Spur gear bushing for clearance is allowed
- Expressly Prohibited: Changes to the armature, brushes, bushings, magnets.
Motor Pod
- Any NSR sidewinder motor pod is allowed, but take note that our track seems to favor the Sidewinder OEM Red/Hard pod.
- Gluing the motor to the pod is allowed. Older pods without screw holes to fix the motor in place may be drilled to take a motor fixing screw.
- The pod must not protrude below the chassis by more than 0.5mm
Gears
- Open-Choice:
- Any NSR pinion and spur gear combination (some older NSR GT cars may not use the 6.45Pin-17.5Spur combo)

(Leroy Grumman)November 29, 2025 at 4:18 PM #24429I have a Corvette C7 from previous series. Of the many NSR’s for this class is there definite car(s) to avoid? Are there a few cars that are best?
