So this Thursday will be our first Club night, I think that a quick race would be a great way to celebrate such an epic moment in the club history ;).
What do you guys think? Does everybody has a Slot.it challenge car? 10min heats, 30 min race?October 25, 2010 at 10:30 PM #935I would love to, but I’ll be in St. Paul, MN this week. I should be able to come by Saturday, however.
Build it strong.
Keep it simple.
Make it work.

All right, we’ll just practice. Have you seen what’s available in MN?

Have a nice trip.
October 26, 2010 at 1:14 PM #937I think its best to wait for Brian to be back to have our first race.
Ary – do you still have the awards from this last weekend? Those would be great for member awards this Saturday.
Scale Model Supplies is not a great slot car shop. Yes, they have a track but they only allow people on it on Friday night. Similar to Kings, its in the back of the shop and they don’t rent out time on it. Its basically a club track. Its a great shop for models and trains but not so much for cars.

I refuse!!! 😆
I will find something better. Would $5 be ok as the entrance fees?

Thanks. Unfortunately I don’t have the keys to the car on this trip. Let me know the details about Saturday when you have them ironed out.

October 27, 2010 at 8:19 PM #941Can everyone check in and let see who all is going to be there on Saturday for our first race. I am also curious if everyone has their Slot It Challenge cars ready to go. Are you coming and what car do you plan on running?
I will be there and will be running the Jaguar XJR9, #60.

October 27, 2010 at 11:16 PM #942I will race the Lancia LC2.
Last time I saw Kings had 2 Jags. They also have P6’s, wood guides and gears in stock. 🙂
On a second note I received an e-mail from Powerslotcars and they will have a sale tomorrow @ 9pm est. They will also sell the new Slot.it Mercedes-Sauber C9 MICHELIN SiCA06e.October 29, 2010 at 12:36 AM #943All right,
We won’t have motors to hand out this Saturday. One easy way to fix this problem would be that all of us remove their motors, put them on a black bag and blind draw a motor for the race (you can mark your motor before that, etc, etc).
Let me know if this is acceptable … I hope so, I don’t want to check the RPM on every single motor I have .
