THIS HAS BEEN EDITED AS THE TOTAL TIME WAS WRONG. PLEASE REVIEW!
Guys,
ASCC will host one round of the 2011 Fly Truck Proxy Racing. There will be approximatively twenty trucks divided in two categories: Doghouse trucks (SISU and Buggyra) and Cab-Over trucks (Mercedes-Benz and M.A.N.). Each truck needs to race for a minimum of four minutes per lane. Racing 3 trucks at a time will bringing the total track racing time to 1.2 hours; after adding time to change lanes and test the trucks, this proxy race should last 2:30~3:00 hours. Racing one truck at a time will bring the total track racing time to 4 hours, with lane changes and testing the total time goes to 5:30~6:30 hours.
The total time will depend on the number of drivers/marshals. There are 6 spots available for racers/marshals. If we have six drivers; three will be racing each category while the other three marshal. We need at least three drivers to run the proxy, where one will race all trucks on a lane while the other two marshal and so on.
We are scheduled to have the trucks during the week of June 13th, the next track need to have the trucks by July 4th.
As our Saturdays are filled with our own race series, we will race this event on Sunday. We have 2 Sundays available (June 18th and June 26th); we could race the entire proxy on one Sunday or run one category each Sunday.
I would like to know who would like to participate and the preference between racing the entire proxy on one Sunday or breaking it up in two; if you prefer one Sunday only, please let me know which.
All interested can test run my truck entries to this proxy, just let me know.
For more information about the truck proxy, please visit https://www.slotcarillustrated.com/portal/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=113. There are some spots available on both classes and I can help when setting up the trucks. The registration deadline is May 13th.

I am in. I can do either one Sunday or two. If I were forced to choose I would go for a one day event.
The advantage of one day is the track will be the same for everyone from start to finish. The downside is that we won’t be as sharp at the end of the day as we might be if we split it into two sessions.

Sorry guys, little correction needed. I forgot that we would be racing 3 trucks at a time. This will bring the racing time to around 2:30~3:00 hours for both classes with lane changes and testing.
It will take 5:30~6:30 hours if we don’t have enough drivers/marshals (one person driving one car at a time with other 2 marshaling).

I would also like to race the proxy on one Sunday with six people. I will be a lot more inclined to race on two Sundays if we only have 3 people.

Now that we’re using more correct math, I prefer a single Sunday. 😆

Good, we have five signed for this already. Me, Brian, Marty, Jim and Russell.
Since nobody chose a specific day I will go and schedule the first available Sunday – June 18th, starting at 1pm.One more spot available.
