      — Alejandro is taking a break until the Carerra series 🙁
      — We have some envelopes to collect Race Fees in the plastic sleeves containing the Tech Sheets. Please pass the fees to Steve so he can pass to Marty when he returns.
      — We have two new packs of fine and super-fine grade sandpaper. Use them for tire rounding, Urethane truing, axle polishing, body prep etc. They are next to the skinny power supply.

Found Saturday July 28 in infield of big track, orange downplanes and headlight from 1/24 (?) scale car.  Now tacked to club board.  See below.

The Rally Track power supply died on Friday; it appeared to be the power switch which I tested and it was not making contact in any position. I have a replacement switch and will bring the power supply back either Thurs or Sat.

      1. The white fridge is working. Both fridges are stocked with sodas and LoneStar (thanks TA!)
      2. The Rally Power Supply has been fixed, replaced the rocker switch.
      3.  I have finished an Adjustable Voltage Regulator module as proposed by Ary. Testing results will follow.
      4. The extension cord on the red-reel has had its plugs/connectors re-done to remove the slop of exposed wire – less danger of the wires breaking and some shocking consequences.
      5. The big yellow extension cord has been re-routed behind the TV-PC and coiled near the white track refer for convenience.
      6.  Microphones are in a box under the TV. Kein M. and I will experiment with position to get the best general sound. Winning!
** Some of you have copied the Google Docs calendar to your own Google calendar – please REFRESH the copy to make sure your alerts match what is actually scheduled. Some members are seeing the ‘old’ schedule. I have verified that the root Google Calendar is up to date (thanks Kein M.)

I was going to post a photo of the track doors mostly closed and Barking Spider toes barely showing by the white refrig under the track.  I would have said “Where’s Marko?  But even better later I thought, “Mark is testing his last will and testament that says he wants to be buried in the infield of the ASCC track at Kings.”  Thanks a million Mark for tackling (or being tackled by) the under track wiring.

      PLUMBING
The back toilet has been fixed again (Feb 2) … the decaying plumbing is blocking the innards of the filler with flack and rust – so about every 6-8 months it looks like it will have to be replaced.
      LIGHTING
The right hand florescent light has ‘bit the dust’. The bulbs are good, but this funky light does Not have a ballast or starter like typical shop lights – both seem to be handled by the proprietary switch and the wiring is the most complex I have ever seen in a florescent fixture. Further the 18-inch size is rather odd (24s are more common) so I can’t just replace the head unit.
1* Rudy has donated to the club a Ferrari red gooseneck lamp with a round bulb. I will replace the right hand florescent with this.
2* As per our club meeting 2/9 I will get some LEP shop lights to hang from the ceiling; -and- see if we can get some small under-counter LEDs to further improve visibility.

At 4-years old in Pensacola I repaired my steering linkage on my Ford Pedal-car. Dad later converted this car to a Blue Angel with ailerons and elevators with a working "stick/yoke"; the rudder was controlled by the steering wheel. I like all motorsports - I grew up going to a NASCAR Feeder track with Sportsman and Modified classes, and was lucky to attend drag races in 1970 at Orange County Raceway. My first solder-iron was a Christmas gift at 9yo; I modified T-Jets to be AFX spec before AFX Cars were in local stores. I rebuilt a few tractor & car (SIMCA) engines plus transmissions by 15yo (I still have my ring-compressor and valve spring tool) I am a former mountain and road bike geek & perennial sound engineer. Struggling guitar hobbyist and Amp "tweeker"
