      The tire manufacturers brought the soft and super-soft compound tires to the Austin Slot Car Club BRM Endurance Race last Saturday.  The teams struggled with the softer compounds, which quickly abraded, making off-line passing difficult.  In addition rubber buildup inside the cockpits created problems with gearing and driver visibility.
