I just got this email from Alan regarding the Kenwood logo on my car coming off:

“BRM do not clear coat their cars as they felt this added an unrealistic shine to a Racing Car. However if the tampo wearing off is an issue to you it is best to clear coat the cars.”

      Enjoy!

      Shawn,

Thanks for the “news” about BRM car bodies. I guess its time to get out the Future Floor finish. I’ve never used it before as a clear coat, but everything I’ve read claims it can be airbrushed on straight from the bottle, no reducing required.

Just be careful on white cars as it might yellow the white. Also I’m reading that the Tamiya Clear TS13 might dissolve decals as evidenced by Ary’s Marlboro 997 NSR. I’ve had really good luck with the Testor’s GlossKote spray.
