Bob Pomann visited us in 2019 on Thurs the week of the Indycar race.  He is the guy that owns a sound and video production studio in New York, sometimes he gets contracted to do work for F1, Indycar etc.

He confirmed that he plans to visit the HQ this Thurs Oct 21 from 7:00p to 9 or 10.

Does anyone else have time to come on over?

THANKS to Chap65  and  TaRadial  for meeting with Bob Pomann  and his wife.  A good time was had by all!  Bob and wife were Very impressed with the club and Russ’ original pictures and all the hard work and details he did to make it such a great venue (Bob is a photog himself).

Randy entertained them with his usual banter and encyclopedic knowledge – but Most importantly raced Bob with the NSR F1s – Bob actually got a feel for the track quite quickly and posted some respectable 4.1s. Russ had some some 60s-ish car themed music which added to the ambiance.

Finally – Bob was so impressed with Datto’s Mousetrap  tyre-cleaner that he bought the improved prototype (Marty the cash is in your pit box).

*This* night is what slot-racing is about – at it’s core – Fun times with friends!  Good show guys.

Hey Mark, Yes, I still have the raw footage, from spring 2019.
I never used it, so far!!!

The tire cleaner was a big hit at last Saturday night’s race. Which I won!!!!

Mark, Randy, and Russell – Thanks so much for getting together with Bob.  It sounds like a fun time was had by all.  Glad he came back to visit us.  Hope to be able to make it the next time he comes around.

At 4-years old in Pensacola I repaired my steering linkage on my Ford Pedal-car. Dad later converted this car to a Blue Angel with ailerons and elevators with a working "stick/yoke"; the rudder was controlled by the steering wheel. I like all motorsports - I grew up going to a NASCAR Feeder track with Sportsman and Modified classes, and was lucky to attend drag races in 1970 at Orange County Raceway. My first solder-iron was a Christmas gift at 9yo; I modified T-Jets to be AFX spec before AFX Cars were in local stores. I rebuilt a few tractor & car (SIMCA) engines plus transmissions by 15yo (I still have my ring-compressor and valve spring tool) I am a former mountain and road bike geek & perennial sound engineer.
