Founded by two longtime slot car enthusiasts, AMSCO was conceived during their time in Italy for the 2025 NSR WRE, where the need for a unified approach to slot car racing in the United States became evident. Their shared commitment to the hobby led to the creation of an organization focused on improving accessibility, consistency, and professionalism across competitive slot car events.
AMSCO’s mission is to bring racers, manufacturers, and sponsors together to establish a sustainable and inclusive future for the hobby. Central to this mission is the development of a standardized ruleset for 1/32 scale slot car racing, enabling competitors to participate across clubs and events nationwide—and eventually worldwide—under a common set of guidelines.
To support this effort, AMSCO is building a comprehensive online presence. The organization has launched official social media pages on Facebook and Instagram, with a full website currently in development. The site will serve as a central hub for information, updates, and racer registration for upcoming AMSCO-organized events.
AMSCO’s website is www.amsco132.com.
AMSCO’s first event will be a sprint race in Burbank Ohio on May 14-16. This sprint race will be held on Scaleauto ProTrack System – plastic track. There will be multiple tracks to allow for a large field. As of today, Brian and Marty have already registered for the event. It would be great to have more members from the club come along for the trip,
We will discuss this new organization more at the clubs next meeting on the 10th of January.
