Round 4 of the Slot.it Group C series was a mixed bag for racers. Several improved their lap counts by 3, 6 and even 9(!) laps, while a few struggled to find speed. Ary was back racing with us for this round and, as always, brought the fight to the top performers. Coming in cold with tires that were underperforming, he still managed to snag the second position on the podium with 219 laps. David was on fire, turning in just over 227 laps and a new series record lap time of 3.732. Marty struggled with a car that was a bit unpredictable. Unclear if it was due to track conditions, a balance change, or simply tires that are reaching the end of their serviceable life. Speaking of tires, Brian hit the course with freshly tuned 20×11 NSR Supergrips, which showed in the lap count, but struggled to break the 4 second barrier.
In the B Class, every driver improved their lap count this round and saw very few deslots. A testament to tuning and practice paying off for each of driver.
Marc T. was behind his camera this weekend getting our podium shots, as well as a few of the group. Even Teddy, Brian’s Lab sidekick, was mugging for the camera with Ary. All in all, a great Saturday.
