2012 Slot.It Challenge – Group C: Round #3 Results

Round 3 of the 2012 season will go into memory as one of the more exciting races held this year.  The racing gaps were measured in fractional laps between first and second and forth and fifth places. Tires, controllers, and plain old bobbles wound up deciding the finishing order. Russell appeared to have tires going off, while Marty had controller issues that impacted his ability to control his car predictably. Ary continues his quest for fastest lap, pushing the time lower with each attempt. Roy, in spite of having only marginal warm up times with his Jagermeister liveried Porsche 956, brought the fight to first place. Brian, racing his Michelin liveried Sauber-Mercedes C9 almost lost the lead after a bobble in the green lane at turn 8, but in the end managed to recover and squeak out a win by mere inches.  Exciting stuff!

This series remains very close. When the dropped race is considered against the current scores the top six positions are separated by a single win.
