Almost had that fastest lap this time around.

Thanks for a great race and today in general to all!

Agreed. It will be an expensive year. Fantasyworld is indicating an April release date on the Toyota and a February 14 availbility date on the Marlboro Porsche.
        Get ready!

I ordered the Porsche yesterday. I couldn’t help myself! The order seemed to go through fine and i received a confirmation from Scalextric.

I’m with Russell. Let’s get this done.

                    Marty,

Yes, the 962 chassis fits all BRM Porsche 962 bodies regardless of version, they don’t require the shim, they have the new o-ring design to easily remove the body, and they have the newer harder axels and brass bushings.

As for the BRM Toyotas….. yes I’ll most likely be getting both.

                      From Wikipedia:

“The series was best known for competition among American V8 sedans such as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Plymouth Barracuda, Mercury Cougar, AMC Javelin, Pontiac Firebird, & Dodge Challenger in the 1960s and early 1970s. Marques such as Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Datsun, Mini-Cooper, Saab, and Volkswagen competed in the series Under 2.0 Liter category.”

Maybe the cold track will give me a little more traction and you know I need the practice time. I am there early. Roy

Nope. Chargers didn’t run in a TransAm series. Only the Challenger did.

I, too, was wondering about Thursday nite. I didn’t bring “my stuff” to work thinking I would make the decision later in the day depending on what the weather does.

Ary, sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. I’ve had my “creeping crud” for a week now, but feel better and hope I’m on the downhill side of it, although I still sound like crap.

As of now, I’ll plan on Saturday for testing. I’ve changed gearing and removed 10gr of weight from my tractionless Jag, still hoping to at least get competitive with the middle of the pack. If I could cut down the number of times being lapped by Ary from 14 to 7, or even 10……

Geez, I’m going to be very lonely on Thursday.

Sounds good guys, but I would like to throw in one more possibility – the Racer Daytona Prototypes. These cars primarily use Slot.it parts already and would not require much modification at all. They do cost a little more, but you do not need to spend a small fortune upgrading them. There are quite a few liveries available plus more are on the way. Pattos also makes a large number of decal sets,

                                  Ary,

Sorry you’re not feeling well. Get well soon. We’ll see you when you get better.

P.S. It’s ok if you miss next Saturday as well. 😈
