Here is the list of racing series the club members put forward during our September meeting. Please reply to this thread with any suggestions, corcerns or ideas before our October meeting, when we vote on the series to be raced in 2014.

Note: The following racing classes are listed by popular vote, in addition, the All Slot Car Formula GP was voted as 2014’s El Piloto Series.  

• Slot.it Group-C / IMSA: Same basic rules as used in 2011’s Slot.it Challenge with the following changes:
  • Any Group-C or IMSA car.
  • S-can orange endbell motor is mandatory.
  • Inline motor configuration only, all motor-pods allowed.
  • Wheel series allowed are PA17, PA24 or PA43.

• Trans-Am:   Based on 2013’s Scalextric GT Series rules.
  • Scalextric or Pioneer cars.
  • Body and interior cannot be altered.
  • Sidewinder motor-configuration only; motor speed to be discussed.
  • Replacement wheels must be of the same size as originals.

• Le Mans 1970:
  • Unlimited series.
  • Car must have raced in 1970’s 24 hours of Le Mans.

• Can-Am Series:
  • ​Unlimited series.
  • Series to start after Slot.it releases their first Can-Am model.

• 1/28 Group-Z:
  • Kyosho mini-z bodies.
  • PN-Slot 1/28 scale metal chassis.
  • PN-Slot stock motor.
  • Gear & bearing selection is open (limited to what is available for 3mm axles).
  • Wheels & tires to be discussed.

• BRM Porsche 917:
  • Factory stock.
  • BRM parts only.

• Touring Car Series:  Same basic rules as used in 2013’s Touring Car Series with the following changes:
  • Cars are no longer bound to the manufacturers chassis, any chassis can be used in any car.

• BRM Group C: Same rules as .

• Targa Florio:
  • Same scoring system as 2012’s Mille Miglia Series: each driver is to race a preset number of laps, the lowest total time wins.
  • Year range of eligible cars TBD.

• Group-5 Series: Same rules as 2013’s Group-5 Series.

• LMP Series:  Same rules as 2013’s LMP Series.

• All Slot Car Formula GP:
  • ​Stock chassis, wheels, body & motor.
  • Gear selection is open.
  • Tires must be NSR Supergrips.
