EFFECTIVE TODAY – NOVEMBER 21ST
Slot It 25K yellow end bell motors are allowed for this series.
This change was made with the intention of allowing for a greater choice of gears by allowing tuning through the use of any of the motors now allowed for this series.

Randy & John -if you still need help on the rules I can assist at the next practice or race when we can edit them from the clubs TV PC. Marty is a pro with the rules so I assume you have a good start already …

Sammy with MontroseNovember 25, 2018 at 5:00 PM #13363The rules are done.
i put a dark orange motor in place of the orange one in the 48 McLaren. Slower lap times.
November 30, 2018 at 5:13 PM #13364Can everyone please bring their Slot It McLaren’s to tomorrow’s club race. We are looking into some set up questions.
Thanks
December 2, 2018 at 9:35 AM #13368RULES UPDATE
The rules for the McLaren M8D series have been updated based on the input and feedback from club members at our last club meeting before the series begins,
Things of note – front wheels and tires must remain stock, limited grinding to the front of the body is permitted, tips on how to set up the guide to move more freely and track power changing from 11v to 12v to allow a broader range of gears to be used.
Please post any comments about the rules to this forum. All comments welcomed.
December 2, 2018 at 8:13 PM #13369Thanks to Marty for ferreting out the set up issues that vary over the production run of the McL cars and thanks to the members for helping us resolve the issues last Saturday. I hope John beats us all with the car that seems to have inherited the real McL dna.
December 6, 2018 at 10:55 AM #13385May 10, 2019 at 3:36 PM #14033UPDATE ON STATS
I was told that some of the statistics for the last Round-4 (4.20) are wrong, this was after the race management software got wonked by the power outage – affecting the format of the RMS .CSV files.
(in fact the CSV I saw did not have points correctly calculated, and apparently a few other metrics are whack!)"... get on your bad motor scooter and ride!"
Sammy with MontroseMay 13, 2019 at 11:50 AM #14059FAQ/TROUBLE SHOOTING HINTS
Although my hopping and tire problems were due to ‘marbles’, a quick change to another set of F30s (under the eye of SM John B) reduced the problem but obviously did not eliminate it.
After the race I tore down my car and discovered that I had an almost invisible *Chassis crack* near the rear axle area. So under acceleration when my tires got grip they flexed the chassis and hence the Hop I was experiencing."... get on your bad motor scooter and ride!"
